Swiss Casinos have paid CHF 6 milliarden casino taxes to social security and to the catons. Thus, they make a significant contribution to the common good.
The contribution of casinos to the common good is fully comparable with the contributions from the lottery companies Swisslos and Loterie Romande for charitable, sporting and cultural purposes.

Corporate income tax as well! Casinos pay double
After deduction of the casino tax on the gross gaming revenue, the casinos costs are covered (staff costs, operating costs, depreciation etc). The remaining income is subject to corporate income tax.
The casinos are thus taxed twice: on one hand by the casino tax and on the other by the corporate income tax.
